Im sure on the old interprise forums I saw something that showed the standard customer address control being replaced with a custom one.

Do you have that example you could provide me?

For example, i want to enable uk postcode lookups using postcodeanywhere.co.uk but need the base control first as i've got the code working on the normal AddressControl but it doesnt have email address, etc. and persist it back to the database ....

Kind Regards,
Chris Bond

You can inherit the Address control and modify it based on your requirements then replace the existing one using User Role. You can refer to the Interprise Resource Center - 200 Tutorial (Replace Existing Item Photo Plugin Section) for some guidance and example.

The best way to find out the fully-qualified namespace of the particular control you wish to inherit from is to use DimeSoft tool.

http://www.interprisesuiteplugins.com/Plugins/DSFormInfoTool/tabid/82/Default.aspx

This tool will drill through every plugin that is loaded at runtime and will create the code needed to gain access to that control.

In future releases of the Interprise Resource Center we'll be adding videos on different "How-To's" so I will see if we can add this topic in. On the other hand you may contact support@interprisesolutions.com to schedule you for a webinar on SDK Trainings.
