Sorry for the noob question, but what version of dev express controls do we need to do api development.  I am guessing DXperience ASP.NET Subscription, but I want to be sure before I spend the green.

You will need DevExpress v7.3.3.0. I think you can only buy the latest version but once you buy the package, you can download any version you want. Even older ones like this version. There is a tab on the download page that lets you get the older versions.

Thanks Greg.  Any plans to upgrade to the latest version?  Also, is the XtraScheduler included in the supported version?

Upgrading to the latest version of DevEx is still in discussion as well as other 3rd party components. The XtraScheduler is included in DevEx 7.3.3 version already.

Do you need version 7.3.3 for the latest SP4 SDK? I am getting this error when I create the Hello World Sample with version 7.3.8 Unable to cast object of type 'Interprise.Presentation.Component.SharedControl.ExtendedLayoutControl' to type 'DevExpress.XtraLayout.LayoutControl'.

Yes. You may contact support@devexpress.com to get this version if you have purchased the DXperience Pro Edition.
