If I want to add new customers and/or orders to the system in a non-visual way, for example migrating data from a new system which is the best method for doing so?

Do I call the relevant stored procedure or do I call a method on the base layer?

Thanks

I recommend creating a custom plugin and use the Interprise.Facade.Customer layer from the Customer Module to create your records. The database structure of Interprise Suite is a little bit complex than a usual ERP application. I suggest you contact support@interprisesolutions.com to get leverage on what areas of the customer module would help you achieve your goal.

Gary

I have only just seen your post so I apologise for the late input.

We have developed an order and invoice real time import module, which can also add customer records, as part of our eShopCONNECT module.  You would need the base module which costs £250 per annum (Approx $450) including maintenance.

The importing of customers and orders is not easy to do and you might wish to consider it.

There are more details on www.pluginsforinterprise.com
