I have a working deployement package with SP3.
I just upgraded the project to SP4.
The deployment package is no longer working.
I kept having the message "No Item was selected" during the user role registration.
The deployment package did register all the plugins, stored procedures.
However, the customer module was not registered (populated).

I have tried to populate all the plugins, stored procedures, user roles from a clean database with SP4.
However, I still have the same issue.

Have anyone seen this issue before?

I really appreciate any suggestion.

Francis

I have only just seen your post so apologies for the late input

We have seen issues with menus not being created when plugins are registered, particulalry with sp4.  We are just checking sp5 to see if the problem is fixed.

However, we didn't get any error message so I suspect you may be doing something else wrong.

When exactly does the error occur ?  Is it during the creation of the package or the subsequent registration ?

I presume that you have scripted your user role changes using the SDK menus ? How did you generate your user role changes ?  You have to generate them using the Manage User Roles menu in the SDK if you want the SDK Script User Role to detect the changes.

Let me know if this helps.

Tim,

Thank you for the response.
Do you have the exact procedure to create the deployment package?

I have the error during the installation of the package.  After I selected the menu items for the user role.
After the installation, I can see all the plugins, custom stored procedures.

I did script the user roles using the Manage User Roles recipe and Script User Role recipe.
By the way, I tested the deployment package on a test machine.
